Re: PhotonGI cache
The development is so fast I cannot keep up testing  ATM tweaking photon counts and the other parameters is quite tricky. Will it be possible to automate them like adaptive/progressive photon mapping that stops when density is sufficient? Also lookup.maxcount/radius/normalangle are difficult to...

Re: PhotonGI cache
Haha, it works, this is a rendering with 15 samples/pixel of LuxCore Benchmark and cache:  Amazing! I thought there is a poor rate of photons registered from sunlight but fortunately it seems I was wrong :D And yet still without metropolis photon gathering, right? Would this work with an HDR...

New animation of IOR, shape and rotation.
Forgot to disable automatic tonemapping but after retiming to 50% it is less visible.

Re: Mac OS
Just wanted to say that since the trouble with the first alpha for Mac the latest beta is very stable and I have no issues (and therefore didn't look further into the former because they are apparently solved). I don't use the OpneCL version though because I don't trust nVidia's drivers and my GT750...

Re: PhotonGI cache
You have forgot to replace the roughmatte with matte material. Ooops  In Blender I assigned a matte material with sigma=0 and then didn't check the cfg file. Apparently this produces a roughmatte material, so how to make matte from Blender? (Assigning no material does the trick: "matte&q...

Re: PhotonGI cache
Ok, I got it working and I think this is going to be really awesome! The psor-cube file is Bidir metro at default but when changing the engine to path it creates nice caustics quickly. I copied the photonGI parameters into my causticcube file and it didn't work at first until I changed "rougmat...
