Re: openCL render issues: unknown pattern, sporadic white particles with Matte translucent
That's a great leaf! Polygon count is a little too big for my taste. And it's doubled. ... And I think those leafs are a bit less flat when hanging on a branch. That's a young tree with a young leaves. Young leaves are pretty glossy and uneven. leaves.jpg p.s. I can't really do anything with the sc...

Re: openCL render issues: unknown pattern, sporadic white particles with Matte translucent
openCL render issues: unknown pattern :!: Strange, yet unseen pattern in sky render.png Did someone else observe one of these effects too? I have noticed this problem only sometime and only in the very first samples than disappears after a couple of seconds. I'm still trying to find a repeatable ca...

Re: Adaptive Environment Sampling on CPU and GPU
Adaptive Environment Sampling on CPU and GPU However the good news is this paper has the piece of the puzzle I was missing for ELVC: the last step. I'm using an env. light visibility map (i.e. a pixel image). ... I sample the tile according the usual light intensity (i.e. classic importance samplin...

Re: openCL issue with procedural texture and particles- Blender 2.80
I did my test in blender v2.80, may be it is a old bug of BlendLuxCore fixed in v2.80 :?: I see. I think this topic gets creepy now. Your post was one of the reasons for me to finally install Blender 2.80, another reason is that BLC - LCR V2.3 latest builds depend on V2.80. Windows 10 Pro, Version ...

Re: openCL issue with procedural texture and particles
Hi, I can not reproduce the issue on my Nvidia RTX 2080 (on Windows 10). Can someone else with AMD graphics card test it? It is working fine here too, on AMD and NVIDIA GPU. That is odd. I disabled CPU now, to ensure openCL is rendering only. Then, I found the source of my issue. It is the C...

Zoom out of Birch. 'The Groove' - first impressions
About a year ago I rendered a tree in the wind with falling leaves. One of the feed-backs told me to check the Blender add-on The Groove among others. Fall is approaching and I like doing things in larger cycles while improving results in each cycle. Finally, I got weak yesterday and bought The Grov...
