Re: EXR issue
The -nan value appears after saving the scene using filesaver, the original file has no issues. can it be because of the Default Gamma value of 3dsmax? That almost sounds like the old locale problem again with adding commas or periods into large integers? Edit: that low-resolution HDRI EXR works fi...

Re: Performance issues
Of course, with heavier scenes, the performance gets worse, as the amount of data it needs to synchronise to the GPUs increases. Martini, your testing shows that even extremely powerful equipment on a primitive stage has problems. The hardware here is not the issue, it's that 1) the data needed to ...

Re: Performance issues
Thanks B.Y.O.B. Viewport performance in order from worst to best: * GPU with Light Tracing - almost hangs Blender in between each scene edit * GPU without Light Tracing * CPU with Light Tracing * CPU without Light Tracing - pretty responsive, feels realtime Sample video: https://youtu.be/E81wXNYpS6w...

Re: Performance issues
Yeah, I agree, we should not be afraid to talk about it (respectfully). There used to be a roadmap - I don't have the link anymore and right now I am already late for work so I can't go dig it up for you, sorry :( I will have another look when I get time. I'm sure I saw it posted on these forums a y...

Re: Performance issues
From what I can test on my scene, turning off Light Tracing in the viewport gives me back 50% - 75% of the responsiveness (while using GPU). Switching to CPU viewport rendering (also without Light Tracing) gives me back realtime viewport responsiveness. This isn't a solution. So basically we are ba...

Re: Performance issues
How much money does it take to get this issue resolved? You can solve it for free by pressing z and choose Solid mode, make your scene update, press z and choose Rendered mode. You really don't have to do everything in rendered mode. We are subject to the limitations of interacting wit...

Re: Rendering glass and water together
Just curious as I figure out the logic of it: why would the volume priority of the glass be higher than that of the water? because it's closer to the camera? Priority determines which volume "wins" when they are overlapping. You want the glass to take priority over the liquid, because the...

Re: Luxcore render result with blender cycle result? what i did wrong here?
the following render results were using the same scene with same HDRI lighting. the first one was rendered with blender cycle(no AI denoise) the second one was done with luxcore(no AI denoise) that we integrated in our 3d software. Can you render it with LuxCore in Blender? To rule out the possibil...
