So we are all saying the same from the begining. Just leave it as it is from now and move to Luxvore 3.0 with all the benefit of optix cuda with an unified code easier to improve. But this the best way to make realistic foliage and leaves with 3d renderer. It is 1n extremelly used combo in archviz. Grass trees pampas flowers all use this.
