Re: Weird result with SSS
Found my issue. It was related to normals. Also found out there were a *lot* of doubled vertices in that particular object for some reason. All good now.

Re: Weird result with SSS
If it helps, I'm using Bidirectional with both eye and light depth to 100. HDR only for lighting

Camera settings for: viewing through camera lens model
I've embarked on this road once before, back with the old engine, but I feel like I need a refresher -- what camera settings should I use if I wanted to test a physical camera lens model? Or rather, what would I require besides glass lenses?

Re: High-res LEGO bricks testing
Sorry for the long wait, summer class had priority. Been using a new method of modeling the pieces with the FreeCAD program, been getting great results with a bit of cleanup in Blender. mat_test_five.png mat_test_four.png mat_test_seven.png mat_test_six.png Been doing some slight tweaks to the point...

It's a re-imagining of one of my old LuxRender threads I set up a couple of years back, but with a new toolset I've picked up from on...

Re: High-res LEGO bricks testing
Do you know this one here: Bricker for *ego, and *ine*raft I have heard of that! Unfortunately I have no way to actually pay for it though :( it would be something I'd like to try. And good point about the studs on the base piece -- what would be a good way to get uneven bumps on the model with jus...
