Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1/2.2 features poll
You can make a .blend file where you create your materials. Then you can link or append these materials into other .blend files. If you link them, they will be automatically updated in all "child files" when you edit a material in the "parent file" (i.e. your material library). ...

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1/2.2 features poll
I have a question about material library: if I remember right, there was feature in old lux to add material as link to a file. Is it possible to add such feature to luxcore? So I would store my materials in a files and to add material to an object I'd have to just pick a file.

Re: Dandelion
Common dandelion's common flower has 3 to 7 layers of petals, with 24 to 36 petals in each layer. It's not really layers, I think it's maybe some parabolic spiral, like this
That's mine.
They have 5 layers of 25 rectangular petals each, not so detailed though.- Sat Sep 01, 2018 11:01 pm

Re: Test scences GPU Path vs CPU BiDir
One cannot see the volume effect if one uses glossy translucent. You can see volume effect, but you can't see through, because of the name glossy translucent only first part is true. Volume effect: they are now both glossy translucent . Left is green, scattering scale 0.01, absorption depth 1 cm; r...

Re: Test scences GPU Path vs CPU BiDir
And that's the problem. Opacity is not physical property. And look at lasers, they are not bent. It is not glossy translucent you're testing, but opacity.

Re: Test scences GPU Path vs CPU BiDir
This material behaves as one expects from a transluscent body. You have very peculiar translucent materials around you. I can hardly find one around me that will scatter light as much as glossy translucent does. I can only do cpu rendering, and at least in that case, glossy translucent is not trans...

Re: Test scences GPU Path vs CPU BiDir
Glossy translucent is a rather complex material. It's not complex. It just isn't translucent. The only tricky part in it is how with rather thin volume and absolutely smooth surface it scatters light so evenly. Here be the glossy translucent material transmitting 97% light on the left and glass on ...

Re: City's new hero
I've made a new file, imported an hero , now – there's no more hero. nothero.png With hair: nothero2.png Now I will tell you what causes this bug: I don't know! :? But! Now I know that it has something to do with a .blend file. Deleting everything, making new material doesn't fixes the issue, but im...
