Re: Denoise trouble
This seems to be more than a simple denoise issue. There's something else going on.

Re: Render output
Regularly - by setting a Halt Condition. Irregularly - by hitting ESCAPE (in this case the file output via the Compositor will be skipped).

Re: Baking Bevel in Cycles
A last follow up on the normal mapping issue. Here are two comparisons. The left one uses displacement to create the surface structure, the right one uses normal mapping to do so. As you can see, in the displacement version the gray floor is properly reflected in the elevated areas. In the normal ve...

Re: Denoise trouble
The denoised version will always look more "blurry". But unless this happens in the area where the noise is, that's usually OK. If the blur effect is too harsh, you might need more samples in the base rendering. I would try to use the Compositor and save the un-denoised image as well as th...

Re: Render output
Or you go through the Compositor and write the file (and other optional passes) out via the File Output node. This is how it's usually done. You should find plenty of tutorials about that online.

Re: 2D Mapping affecting bump map?
Maybe it's more than a coincidence that the bump height is linked to the size multiplier. Take a look at those planes. The two on the left are 16x larger than the right one. The numbers stand for the "Value" in the bump node. As you can see, the upper left plane that is 16x larger than the...

2D Mapping affecting bump map?
Can it be that the 2D mapping nodes affect the image brightness somehow? Here you can see two planes with the same bump map applied. The only difference is, that the left one is 4x larger. The 2D Mapping nodes just equalize the size of the bump map. http://www.argfx.at/upload/Luxcore_Bug_05.jpg I'm ...

Re: Tiled Path Rendering
But why doesn't this happen when I render a region of the big scene and only when I render the full scene?

Re: Tiled Path Rendering
This system is very chaotic and unless you know what values to use, I would recommend to set "Convergence Threshold" to 0 by default, by which it's basically deactivated. Everything else is pure guesswork. Even using the same Multipass values with different AA Sample values, leads to diffe...

Re: Tiled Path Rendering
Anyway. At least I know now why Tiled Path is hidden away.
