Re: Just another render

Decide to give path ocl a try. But fund that it need a completely diferent workflow to work. So i change the lighting setup switch form HDRi to area light and also add DLCS and this is the result after 2.h30mn on a GTX 1080ti. It's clear that path tracing like direct light ;) . S4.jpg Yeah, fine bu...

Re: Just another render

Nicely done. I also think it's better to let the machine render extra 12 hours than burning self out while staring at the screen, pushing buttons - fixing shading & lighting to get the "natural look". there's nothing natural bidir gives you. And it's not extra 12hrs but extra 20hrs. e...

Re: BlendLuxCore Development

I have added some warning messages to the halt condition panel that should help users choose the correct halt conditions if they use tiled rendering. Thank you very much :D PS I was also thinking that with Tilepath it could be better to define number of passes which would then determine the number ...

Re: BlendLuxCore Development

Sample values are copied from Statistics in Blender (my bad for not specifying that detail - all non-Bold characters are Values copied from there) // note to self - use colors to differentiate better + add full description and detailed info But still, if you set always the halt condition to 100 SPP...

Re: BlendLuxCore Development

I have the feeling you are not aware AA is samples-per-pixel^2: if you set AA to 3, there will be 9 (3x3) samples per pixel. Am aware of the exponential ratio (quadratic - it's a surface, cubic - spatial...). This are just objective observations - resulting values were taken from 'Statistics' repor...

Re: BlendLuxCore Development

Try to increase tile AA: you can increase tile size but it has a couple of drawback, it is usually a lot better to just increase AA (even moving from 3 to 5 can make a huge difference: 25 samples per pixel instead of 9, nearly 3 times more work). More Tilepath SPP stats. This time, hybrid rendering...

Re: BlendLuxCore Development

Tested Tilepath with denoiser & behavior feels much better, stable and predictable. But now, tile size really matters! A (default) | GPU (GTX 1060 6GB): Tile size = 64 ---> Render time for 100 samples @ 1080p = 11:27.23 (685.23 s) B (custom) | GPU (GTX 1060 6GB): Tile size = 256 ---> Render tim...
