Maybe we can help improve renderspeed if you share more about itSkilled420 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 5:49 pm My scene isn't that complex it's just a cup with water in it. I think my pc is just trash (No Gpu and a somewhat slow and outdated Cpu)

Re: NVIDIA DLSS in 3D rendering
The point of upscaling technology is that it save a lot of computation power. going from 1k render to 2k increase rendertime by 4X. Meanning that if you can render at 1k inside of Lux and output a 2k will give you a 4X time speed up. And 1k upscale to 4k = 16X speed up. I hope AMD upscaling is much ...

The video is not english and i can't see any rendering bench from Rx 6000.Theo_Gottwald wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 6:58 am Looks like that NVIDIA stay on Top about Rendering speed but for solely GAMING, AMD takes the Lead.
And for us this is a good Message.

Re: Luxcore vs real Photo
Then you told us white in lux coresponds to 0.7. So we did. I know this common reference, and wanted to nag about it before but kept forgetting... A regular good white paint can be over 90%. Reference for example: https://digitalcommons.usu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1010&context=cpl_techn...

Re: Little Octane adventure
No no no, I strongly disagree with you! Using Filmic for Luxcore is like watching a color movie on a black and white TV. A pretty strong POV i am curious to see your way to do it. I mean with Luxcore tonemapper only how do go from a Raw image to gamma corrected one that look more color rich and dif...

Re: Luxcore Optix crash investigation
Interesting, on my end, it doesn't crash at all when I disable OptiX viewport denoising. It will crash if you switch between GPU and CPU viewport render device during rendering and add to all that switch between solid view and rendered view. BYOB are you able to reproduce the issue with my process ...

The design and shading look great.
Only the lighting is down from my POV.
Look like unrealistic lamp light and shadow.
To sharp to flat no variation.
A good hdri from hdri haven could give this scene the deserved lighting.
