Re: E-Cycles addon for Blender
Hi S0rda, you have total right be ok to give $20 to google but not $15 once to a developer doing dev and packaging work, helping test a free software. To me it is very different : on one side you give money to a data exploitation megacorp aiming profits and/or monopoly, on the other you encourage an...

Re: Material/Texture rework in v2.3
Hi all ! Subjective input as a blender user : since blender seems the most developed/used host, aiming easy switch between luxcore/cycles/eeve with compatible materials would help adoption and usage, positioning Luxcore as the "highest quality" renderer. I would categorize like this : Fill...

Re: PhotonGI cache
Impressive work Dade !
Regarding splotches, are the caches used as simple 2d "heat maps" during rendering, or additional infos are used ? Would it make any sense to denoise the caches before using them to render ?
have a nice day all !

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1beta1 released
Congrats to the devs, testers, documenters, artists, commenters who helped this release ! Not related to this specific release, but the new install/update process is very easy, and being able to switch between versions is great for testing and to lower the risk a breaking an existing project. Huge t...

Re: first steps
It is in the water, But I think that I will need to create a water tension geometry to get some highlights on contact.... This is where bevel shader with option to blend multiple objects would come in handy... also During this project I realized how much I miss triplanar mapping with blending from ...

Re: San Pedro Bedroom
Beautiful work and images Sharlybg ! The modeling and lighting is amazing. The only point that suggest the images are renders is the bed blanket, the velvet/fresnel effect look a bit strong, white or uniform to my eye. Thanks for sharing your work and regular research/questions/tips, it is as much n...
