I faced the same issue for a long time, and I manage to fix it by converting all characters, symbols, and separators to standard characters to be sure it's working as it supposed to.

The very first look of the 3dsmax 2021 plugin, will be out soon after fixing the problem with openImageIO library.

as I said before it's not going work with the latest version of Arnold and still some of the Arnold files need then a specific version of openImageIO

Sorry for the inconvenience. if you read the error is MaxToA means Max to Arnold it's not about the LuxCore
First, uninstall the plugin and then add these files to the 3dsmax root.
We will fix the issue very soon to work with Arnold renderer at the same time.

Maxtoa is about conflict with Arnold is all about openImageIO.dll did you update Arnold renderer recently to the last version? 8.510kb is the same version that 3dsmax 2021 using and had a conflict with the one used in luxcorerenderer. it's not going to work with Arnold yet, I'm on it to fix that issue

i try install luxcore in max 2020 and i get this errors and luxcore dont show in renderer list Can you check the 3dsmax Root directory and see if openImageIO.dll exists and what the size of it? Also if it is possible for you just replace it with this version and let me know if it's working correctl...
