Re: A baking test scene
Both the box upper face and the box lower face are mapped in UV (0, 0) to (1, 1). This means the baking process will sample both the lower (pointing outside) and the upper face (pointing inside the room), mixing what there is outside and what there is inside. The baking process samples the UV space...

Re: A baking test scene
Oh, I forgot: can you also replace the "DGruwier_dirt_04_scratches_smudge_specs_black.tif" file with a "DGruwier_dirt_04_scratches_smudge_specs_black.png": reading a TIFF file crashes my Blender due to a bug in the version of Ubuntu/OpenImageIO I'm using. Yes, sure, I'll fix tha...

Re: A baking test scene
Hi Dade As well as a few fixes, I’ve added a texture map for the ‘Bake’ to the Wall, Floor and Window materials. If this is what you are looking for then just let me know and I will carry on with the rest of the objects. If it’s not, I’m still happy to help with this project in any way I can. 😉 Here...

Re: Simple Test Scene
For me it is still difficult to manage the Denoise, which makes me lose all the details. 2500 samples, and this is the comparison. You may find that OIDN doesn't like small repeated patterns such as in the fabric weave and BCD works better for this. BCD takes a bit longer. But with OIDN, 1000s of s...

Re: A baking test scene
As well as the left -click, as Sharlybg mentioned, it is also possible to switch off selectable in the Outliner. In the attached image, for example, the books can't be selected.

Re: A baking test scene
(See image attached). If the normals are correct it is blue, otherwise red. To switch this feature on use the overlay drop down (see arrow in image) and select Face Orientation.
I have started reworking the scene. (there are some faulty normals in the chair)

Re: A baking test scene
Dade
In the Cycles version there often 1 UV map for the material and a separate one for the Bake. But LUX doesn’t support multiple UVs in 2.8, so the UV for the Bake got deleted. Maybe that be what is causing the problem that you are having?

Re: A baking test scene
...update:
Just checking the original geometry for duplicated vertices. There appears to be 2 in the wall, 8 in the bookshelves and 1398 in the books. I'll delete them.
Also, I'll delete the One Drive files for the moment to save confusion.
