In my opinion, we can spend some time improving the look and the content of the current site but I would avoid to end to develop a totally new site. Agree. I like the overall "fresh" look of the new site, but I'm not a fan of that orange color and some design decisions.
It shouldn't be too hard to adjust the WordPress theme. We need some mockups to start from.

I've independently spotted the problems discussed here and created a pull request with my fixes. There are other issues with the design on some pages as well, but they require editing the page content in WordPress.

Actually, I don't need any networking between working nodes at all. It would be fine if I could ssh to some remote host and just submit a batch of files to render from command line.
