Re: Koerfer House

Short version: the current shift in hardware/software scenario may render adaptive subdivision not worth the effort.
Thanks for the insight.
I actually was afraid of running out of memory, when i tesselate a large surface. I will try how much this will cost in terms of memory usage...

Koerfer House

Hey there! I started modeling the iconic "Koerfer House" by Marcel Breuer after some fragments of original floor- and site plans. As well i found some quite good photos for reference and inspiration. Most of the process so far i documented on twitter using Blender 2.9x and E-Cycles Rendere...

Re: Cuda vs OpenCL

I know exactly hat you mean. LuxCoreRender has such beautiful light transport. It's a joy to render difficult lit interiors. Are you thinking of that typical high key photography style used a lot in interior magazines? Here you go. I just kept it dark, because i was going for a quiet mood. By the wa...

Cuda vs OpenCL

I made some short comparison between Cuda an OpenCL with an indoor scene with pretty hard lightpath. I let the secene render for 60 seconds without any caches and for 240 seconds with Indirect Light Cache. Tested on Ryzen1700x + RTX2080ti Cuda is quite a bit faster particularly without Indirect Ligh...

Re: Windows Build FAILED

For me the BlendLuxCore Build from yesterday evening works.
But every time i hit render, it compiles the kernels again, so it's quite a time to wait.

Re: Windows Build FAILED

Hello! Do one have to install this Cuda Files as well for the BlendLuxCoreCuda Version? I downloaded it yesterday for Windows and get the following message: Hardware device selection string has the wrong length, must be 2 instead of 1 Sorry, but i don't understand anything from this coding magic... ...

Re: Beach Resort - LuxCoreRender 2.4

Hey, Farbige Welt! Thanks for your input. Seems like it's a good idea to post some work here - for i learn a lot from the suggestions made by others. Maybe my phrasing concerning 'first render test' was a little confusing. It is related to the scene and was meant as something like: It's a lookdev re...
