Light emitting instances
Hi, this scene, which has three instance groups, each of 5.000 instances of an 2200 polygons sphere, is making some troubles. Luxrender keeps doing something for 3 minutes and but then makes the redering itself in 15 seconds. Are there some known issues with Lux dealing with many light source instan...

Re: LuxCore on Felix Render implementation
Testing lighting conditions. Many of this set-ups are very challnenging for Maxwell but not for Lux. Re: LuxCore on Felix Render implementation
Thanks! This is how "light groups" are working in FELIX now under Maxwell. Under Luxcore we are going to use exactly the same interface: https://youtu.be/cC-IBS-u-WY The main difference between FELIX and Maxwell is that in FELIX you can copy the "light group" light equalization t...

Re: LuxCore on Felix Render implementation
Hi, not yet but it is planned to be implemented within the next two weeks. I'm not very familar about how light groups work in Luxcore but if it is similar to Maxwell's multilight, it should not be suitable for high res renderings, right? And a modified light group rendering should not be as good as...

LuxCore on Felix Render implementation
Hi, here are some of the first luxcore tests we are producing on our cloud based rendering tool, FELIX render. Our previous rendering engine has been Maxwell Render which you can compare here with Luxcore. All light sources are emitting about 20% direct light and 80% caustics. As you can see Luxcore...

Re: Silk material
Some improvement. Still i cannot match the contrast of the maxwell version. May the high anisotrpy lowers the brightness becasue the roughness-darkening issue of Luxcore?

Silk material
Hi, we are struggling to archive a nice looking silk material. The real reference photos we did: texture at 0 degrees silk-E1.jpg texture at 90 degress silk-E2.jpg Our result in maxwell texture at 0 degrees max-silk01b.JPG texture at 90 degress max-silk01a.JPG Here an other maxwell example: silk01 m...

Re: Fresnel fonction & layer weight node
Hi, I'm struggling to create in LuxCore a velvet similar to the one i got in Maxwell. In order to archive this kind of velvet (which is far from perfect!) it was necessary to us Maxwell's R2 function, which gives a decent control over the Fresnel curves. Basically i was able to tell Maxwell that the...
