Re: Weird behaviour of bump

Maybe you can describe in more detail what you think is wrong? Do you mean that the shadowed areas are brighter? Some observations: You are using a texture with a very fine pattern. This produces the moiré effect we see in the foreground and at some distance to the camera, the individual elements of...

At such high sample counts it's almost useless to continue rendering because this is exceeding the limits of floating point precision.

Nice scene, I wonder why the caustics are so different.

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1alpha3 released

Do you mean if you have a lower version or something?
If you have that exact redistributable already installed, you don't need to do anything.

The Preetham sky model was removed, it's only Hosek & Wilkie now.
However, that was also the default in old Lux, not sure if you mean this.

Re: destructive denoiser

I guess all these images have been rendered with adaptive sampling?
It might be that the adaptive sampler considered the darker parts of the image to be finished and spent less samples there.
Can you try with random sampler and adaptive amount set to 0%?

Re: "Developing" .flm files/opening netrenders

(Just discovered that in the Blend file there is by default - even when rendering with the default setting of linear tone "tonemapping" - a gain parameter of 0.5 and auto brightness set. What does this mean? How can I tell pyluxcoremerge to ignore this? You can turn off tonemapping in the...

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1/2.2 features poll

Another feature request! :D I'd like HDRI Settings - Z Axis Rotation to be not limited to 0-360°. It's convenient to be able to rotate hdri -30° for example. It's not that hard for cpu to calculate that -30° is the same as 330° and 720° is 0° as it for me. This has to be one of the most simple user...

Re: "Developing" .flm files/opening netrenders

Btw. here is explained how to use the merge tool: https://wiki.luxcorerender.org/Pyluxcoretool_merge Lux ignored the setting of multilayer exr as the output format The Blender output settings can only be used for images rendered inside Blender through the addon. Nothing you specify there is passed t...
