Re: Volumes for clear glass

filip wrote: Sat Jul 04, 2020 11:53 pm If I do a clear glass (no color), do I need to add a volume to it for it to be accurate and interact properly with the rendering engine?
No, if there aren't other volumes involved like a liquid inside a glass, etc.

Interesting, I did it like this, is it the best way?
Yes, that was my idea.

Re: Viewport render crash on GPU Cuda

Dade wrote: Sat Jul 04, 2020 10:28 am There is probably a bug freezing the rendering of the second GPU so this should explain the half image issue.
I have found and fixed another problem in RTPATHOCL when using multiple GPUs. Check the next automatic build if it works fine now.

Re: Viewport render crash on GPU Cuda

So, in the scene I uploaded, if I disable Light Tracing the viewport render is split in half, with half of it looking more noisy than the other. See the attached picture. When you enable light tracing, BlendLuxCore will use PATHOCL render engine instead of RTPATHOCL. PATHOCL is the render engine fo...

Re: Full invisible area light

It looks like it is now partly invisible in glossy reflections and completely invisible in specular reflections. From left to right: meshlight completely visible, meshlight invisible to camera and shadow color white, meshlight opacity = 0 At least it doesn't create noise like the meshlight with opa...

Re: Viewport render crash on GPU Cuda

It is working fine here, are you sure to have correctly updated the BlendLuxCore ?

If you:

1) open Blender;
2) set LuxCore render;
3) set GPU rendering;
4) enable viewport rendering;
5) grab the cube and move it around.

Does it crash ?
