Re: First low-key interior test with LuxCore
interesting that with that low level of lighting there is not so much noise. Did you use denoiser? are you really not seeing all the terrible denoising artifacts. Or is it me hallucinating? :D No, I can't see any small pixel noise. I just see some "not so much contrasted" splotches, I sup...

Re: first steps
Wondering about windows glass material...its very reflective and we can not see any interior. Is it correct physical behaviour??? :?: 2 panels of 3mm thick glass with no absorption and architectural is on. The interior is probably just very dark while the reflected exterior is very bright. Yes it's...

Re: First render in LuxCore - interior
Just be aware... With clamping on, one should prefer as high value as possible without introducing fireflies, since clamping will always lead to biased results (was a huge issue back in the days when VRay introduced it - and that's mostly biased engine). Cutting fireflies off is the main intent &am...

Re: First render in LuxCore - interior
I think you can use a lower clamp value ( arround 1/3 of actual value) to speed up things. Do you mean "clamp output" in LuxCore config tab? I have this box uncheck actually - what approximate values should I be using? Here's what I do Make a quick render (so that you see the lighting) of...

Re: Random Value Node
Yeah that would be great!johannes.wilde wrote: ↑Sat Sep 22, 2018 8:27 pm Hey there,
is there a possibility to randomize values (color, saturation, etc.) for objets via position in 3d-space?
Cycles has the 'object info node' for that, and i think it's great for particlesystems with natural assets for more realism with minimal effort.
cheers

Re: First low-key interior test with LuxCore
True. Especially for i just rendered the scene for about 12 minutes the denoiser eates a lot of datail. For me at the moment it is still enough to get a feeling for how LuxCore deals with low-key interior scenes. it does well and the performance is really impressive. Denoiser is it's biggest weakne...

Re: first steps
In another quicktest I noticed that leaves at the top of the hedge look very green and wrong. Any tips on how to fix that? Nice trees in the background. But the very green leaves on the top of the hedge look like growing grass. Did you check the viewing angle? Are your leaves flat or 3d bend? Just ...

Re: Nvidia Turing
I think that soon people will "discover" difference between raytracing and pathtracing and so on. I'm noob, but come on, insane amount of mega rays per second... for what? A shadow or a specific single bounce reflection? I was relying for some time on renderfarm for like 80-90% renderings(...
