Re: Object iD

Aa i see now, to map object id's in the shape of some procedural texture is not possible.
I have the random colors with little texturing, the tiles look pretty good already as is.

Re: Swimming pool / Underwater / Caustics

You are likely to run out of memory, try to check the memory usage. Memory use is 18GB (with ocean modifier resolution 90), windows uses 6GB and free is 104GB. With VM it looks like CPU won't let any threat free, but there is fix for it, keep one threat free (do it before loading up scene, or it ma...

Scene size is 5m Camera field of view around 2.5m I use start radius 0.003 Alpha 0.9996 I need to start with little bias and larger start radius to overcome the lack of MLT. Also OIDN works with it. I see if i can go to 10k passes without ...

Re: Test scences GPU Path vs CPU BiDir

Where do the horizontal patterns come from? I've also wondered about this, seen it a lot of times. Sometimes when i render with luxcore external ui at 3840x2160 pix, render can be even half an hour later stripy, but at 6000x4500 pix, seems like sampling algorithm is more even (closer to like random...

Re: Issues with Sun and Distant light

i tested, this is not reflection, but transmission. It looks like when i enable only red, or only green, or only blue transmission, then it's not brighter. See that threat https://forums.luxcorerender.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=808&start=10 Can it be related, no issue with mesh emitter of same ...
