Re: question
If i turn off 4 lights sources of 5, the artifact still shows up. At the beginning i was thinking about caustics caused by the chrome material, which is the only shiny one of the scene, but no, even if i turn off the chrome the artifact still shows up.

question
Hi to all, we are integrating Luxcore in to www.felixrender.com with the purpose to offer a bidirectional rendering tool for architects at reasonable rendering speed. We have a problem with the attached scene. Rendering on luxcore 2.4 is much slower as on Luxcore 2.2 and a wired artifact is showing ...

Re: Dual xeon performance
Hi Dade, fine. We have to setup for you a special machine because we cannot give the access of the machines we are currently using. Probably within 10 days we can give you full access to one or two xeon 2698 V4 with 80 cores. In the meanwhile thanks!

Re: Dual xeon performance
Hi, we did extensive tests on AWS. Same behaviour. Till 28 cores everything fine. Rendering with 96 cores is three times slower as the 28 cores machine. Do you need precise details? Can we help?

Re: Dual xeon performance
Dade solved our problem i think. In our test we have been using a scene which uses the old denoiser which is slow and almost single core. This caused a bottleneck on dual xeons with many cores. The intel denoiser is super fast and apparently allows to scale up more linearly. Monday we complete our t...

Re: Dual xeon performance
following are the render settings i used: # For a description of the CFG properties, visit: # https://wiki.luxcorerender.org/LuxCore_SDL_Reference_Manual_v2.1 # Do not use OpenCL CPU devices (native C++ rendering is faster) opencl.cpu.use = 0 # Use all GPU devices we can find opencl.gpu.use = 1 # Yo...

Re: Dual xeon performance
thanks FarbigeWelt, i normally use the Spec 2017 fpRates which are quiet precise too.
Wen rendering with luxcore the 2697 uses 100% of the cpus almost all the time. that's why i'm a bit lost. Should be at least 30% faster.

Dual xeon performance
Hi to all, this is my first post here. I have a question regarding LuxCorerender performance on xeon dual processor servers.
