progressively darkening rendering
Hi, So I'm trying to pass some scene parts from my last project from cycles to luxcorerender for performance comparison and testing and training myself with luxcorerender and right off the bat I'm getting some weird behavior (might be my fault...?) So for a while everything was working well with me ...

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1/2.2 features poll
Hi,
So I'm curious. I know that light cache for direct light is already being worked on. But I wonder if "part II" the indirect light cache is to be done next? Or will we wait longer for that one?

Re: Interior Studio
I doubt that the visiblity map will help much in this scene, and I wouldn't even know where to place portals. These techniques are good in scenes where the camera is inside the building and most of the visible surfaces receive light through small openings. At least the visibility map will not make ...

Re: Interior Studio
Interesting, how does it work when I have in the frame 50% exterior but also look into interior/building. Would the visibility map favor complex GI in interior or somehow magicaly balance the sampling? Can you post a 3D model or diagram of what you have in mind? Not sure what you mean exactly. And ...

And can't I have both refraction and reflection but no shadow/GI samples from glass?

Re: Interior Studio
Hi, I have a few question about your approach to such project using luxcore. 1.You use visibility map, no portals right?(I don't know if there are portals in luxcore anyway) 2.On main window/glass objects do you use some sort of special options to avoid complex calculations?(for example I disable sh...

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1alpha0 released
So, actually a update to my problem rendering hi-res images with gpu (or rather a correction) I just figured I can render hi-res on gpu, but only without denoiser. The actual error I get(only if denoiser is enabled) is: The Denoiser sample histogram buffer is too big for GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Interse...

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1alpha0 released
Have you tried the same test with LuxCoreUI or LuxConsole ? I have now, I commented on the issue (and attached a .bcf). https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/BlendLuxCore/issues/151#issuecomment-392347445 BTW. is there support for portals Even better: https://wiki.luxcorerender.org/Visibility_Map For pl...

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1alpha0 released
Hi I have GTX 1060 6GB. Do you think that using a 1080 or similar would solve the issue? I have a GTX 980, if you give me the exact resolution, I can do a test. is there some limitations to using tiles for rendering? Performance issues or other? And can it be used cpu+gpu? TILEPATH is a bit less ef...

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1alpha0 released
I've had some issues with 2.1 opencl rendering when I try to render resolutions above 3K on 6GB gpu + I7 cpu. Error displayed was telling me something about framebuffer is too big for gpu. Now for internet purposes up to 3K seems good enough but my client work is rarely below 5K and more often arou...
