Here with 10 times less megapixels at 1080p res, the gui loop time is 2000 times faster and the lag is almost none.

Re: Gui loop time
No it's not swapping, i have 30GB free memory.
No denoiser or image pipeline plugin.
It's running on CPU e5 2620 v4.
The film refresh was as slow on LuxRender 1.7 if not slower, but it did not lag in there.

Gui loop time
What is the gui loop time, the first and the one in round brackets?
Update
Some variation, but the GUI sleep time is always 0.

Re: periodicsave resumerendering
Does the resume file have all geometry files inside, it's very close to full scene size only little smaller?
Where is the SPPM and BIDIRVMCPU film resume at, same like in LuxRender 1.7?

Re: Weak Caustics with BiDir, Path Caustics ok
Using Sun & HDRI together changes colors drastically (I assume its sun's color temperature fault, as other 'white' lights work correctly). Would be nice if suns color was 'over writable' with custom option (yes, Light Groups offer such option, just not intuitive). Distant (Sun) does fine but pr...

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1alpha1 released
I think i got the render not stopping issue sorted out with editing the final.py file From FAST_REFRESH_DURATION = 0 if engine.is_animation else 5 to FAST_REFRESH_DURATION = 0 if engine.is_animation else 0 Also got the Blender UI silky smooth with minimum = 4 if is_big_image else 1 maximum = 16 to m...
