What would be the next steps? Should I check something else before pushing the new libraries?
A that point, it should be all good.

Re: PGI indirect + caustic incompatibility

I'm trying to use indirect together with caustic (Hybrid+SDS) cache but it won't work. When both are activated, no indirect cache is written and the render looks like direct light only. I should have fixed this problem. This works for indirect light but the caustics are not updated any more as if p...

Re: (Open)Subdiv and Displacement shapes

Cool idea for mesh displacement, to even out normals. Could LuxCore's displacment benefitfrom this technique? https://youtu.be/Vx_kYEUvYCA?t=575 He is using the trick to export to OpenVDB and than back to smooth the normals, this pretty much equivalent to some kind of normal filtering to reduce the...

Re: OpenVDB support

I also have a newer version of blosc.lib in my local deps folder. Can I simply push that new file to master or does that break the master builds? You need to update both Linux Bin. Deps and Windows Bin. Deps repositories however you can not push the new binaries on a branch because Azure will still...

Re: OpenVDB support

Great work.

P.S. the Windows build on your branch is currently failing on Azure for missing BLOSC symbols: https://dev.azure.com/LuxCoreRender/Lux ... uildId=969

Re: Reduce the number of OpenCL kernel compilations

Using/Not using any type of transparency doesn't require OpenCL compilation anymore (removed PARAM_HAS_PASSTHROUGH conditional OpenCL compilation). Changing max. path and/or Russian Roulette parameters doesn't require OpenCL compilation anymore (removed PARAM_MAX_PATH_DEPTH, PARAM_MAX_PATH_DEPTH_DIF...

Re: Simplify shape

I have added an option to preserve mesh borders in order to avoids cracks between contiguous meshes, etc. # A flag to avoid touch mesh borders (in order to avoids cracks, etc.) scene.shapes.obj_whitesimplify.preserveborder = 0 If enabled it will never touch mesh borders, no matter how much you want ...

Re: Light Tracing Too 'Powerful'

I have tried your test scene up to 5000 samples but I can not reproduce your problem: 5000.jpg What version are you using ? I have fixed a problem in the past that could explain what you are observing, can you try if it happens with a daily build too: https://forums.luxcorerender.org/viewtopic.php?f...

And here is the scene containing the half Null Glossy sphere with Glass sphere, homogeneous volume, inside:
Strange Effect, openCL hybrid.7z
It just work fine here. I will try if it is a Windows-only problem otherwise it is quite impossible to fix if I can not consistently replicate the problem.

Re: PhotonGI caustic cache re-factoring

I have exposed the updatespp.radiusreduction and updatespp.minradius parameters in Blender. There are a couple of old parameters: https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/LuxCore/blob/0a96233d56c2060aede3b2073a6539528e173f9d/src/slg/engines/caches/photongi/pgicproperties.cpp#L65 - lookup max. count (remove...
