Re: Nvidia Titan V

Just turn arround the net and saw some benchs of Titan V on some workstation software. This big chips is really strong. look what it scored with Luxmark 3.1 : It is the first "real" GPU upgrade since the HD7970. The performance are spectacular ... unfortunately, the price is too but I guess there w...

Re: Light intensity

BTW, LuxCoreUI has a simple procedure to estimate reasonable value for variance clamping: https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/LuxCore/blob/51fb3632cb0f205467bae90e35a17d7b172f399c/samples/luxcoreui/renderenginewindow.cpp#L116 It is simply the average luminance of the rendered image multiplied * 10 (and...

Re: BlendLuxCore Development

I should have fixed the problem (pull both LuxCore and BlendLuxCore).

I have to apply the worldscale of Blender, otherwise the camera is in the wrong place.
However I could undo the scale.
But was that the problem you were talking about ? Or is there something else ?

Re: BlendLuxCore Development

However, something weird is still going on - do you have an idea what could be wrong? Only the camera is moving here. I'm not sure if this is the problem you are talking about but the camera transformations include some kind of scale. It something strange and unexpected, as result the rays to trace...

Re: BlendLuxCore Particles support

Very cool. I implemented support for it in the dupli_export branch: https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/BlendLuxCore/commit/6f749a9b270856a9adbd83701adaa589341729f6 Results (particle export only, 10000 particles): Previous export: 4.13 seconds New export: 0.37 seconds By the way: always funny when Ble...

Re: Compiling on Windows

Thanks for the investigation, I guess we go back to the original plan of releasing the v2.0 with VS2013 and than update the dependencies (newer boost, newer openimageio, etc.) and the compiler (I guess to VS2017). So we take two birds with one stone. OK :?: Sure. Indeed my next question would have ...

Re: BlendLuxCore Particles support

I have added the support for Scene::DuplicateObject(). There are 4 versions of the function: make an instanced copy of the object make multiple instanced copy of the object make an motion blur instanced copy of the object make multiple motion blur instanced copy of the object The "multiple copy" ver...

Re: Compiling on Windows

So I think we really need to build deps with the compiler we want to use. Thanks for the investigation, I guess we go back to the original plan of releasing the v2.0 with VS2013 and than update the dependencies (newer boost, newer openimageio, etc.) and the compiler (I guess to VS2017). Re: Compiling on Windows

Ok, on to the actual subject of compiling, I've run in to another issue. While VS2015 and VS2017 both compile without any errors or warnings, and both create quite a few files in the WindowsCompile/Build_CMake/ directory (~694 of them, including important ones that I recognize like pyluxcore.pyd, l...
