Re: Interrupt Async Imagepipeline

What is a "mapped file" in this context? A bit further below they call it "memory mapped file". Is it saved to disk? Yes, very likely (so it defeats the purpose of your change). I will sincerely stay away from this can of worms and just write the PFM file. It is not really going to be a problem for...

Re: How to use interior and exterior volumes?

First of all it looks like there is a bug in BlendLuxCore and volume priority is always exported as 0, @B.Y.O.B :?: Than: 1) you need to lower the ground plane in order to not have a "Z fight" (aka numerical precision problems) between the lower face of the box and the ground plane. 2) Material "tra...

Re: PhotonGI cache

This wasnt happening before, something has changed in recent builds... or a bug It is caused by the yesterday change: https://forums.luxcorerender.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=840&start=480#p10380 I reverted the change so now your scene works fine (but your radius is really big for this scene has spotte...

seems that some recent changes made light leaking worse... nothing helps
I can not add anything more without a test scene.

I did notice though that with some materials I have to raise normal angle quite high ~60 degree, to get gi caching working on them (most likely due to bump mapping)
It is not possible because geometry normal is now used. I can not add anything more without a test scene.

- Write my own denoiser binary with boost shared memory after all?
Check if shared memory is supported on Windows, some stuff is Unix only.

Re: PhotonGI cache

I can confirm that your scene is full of: RGBColor[-nan, -nan, -nan] There must be a material doing something nasty, I'm looking where it is. I fixed the problem: it was glossy coating material to spit out NaNs. This is a debug output now: RGB_IMAGEPIPELINE_0.jpg and this is the denoised output aft...

Re: PhotonGI cache

so apparently, bump mapping is still killing cache for me. EDIT: I'm actually not sure if it's bump or something else, but I couldn't figure out what is going on... everything is mostly black The smell like floating point NaNs (i.e. Not a Number, like the result of a division by zero, etc.). I will...

Something to suggest?
It is this bug:

normal.jpg

See the border on the glossy material ? I have the felling it is due to cached paths not including the light emission, I'm looking into the problem.
I should have fixed the problem:

Re: Camera DOF

F-stop has nothing to do with DOF, it is a tone mapping parameter, focal distance and lens radius are the important parameters, did you changed the lens radius ?
