Re: Laci's wip

have you never tried some fake caustics using texture on an area light? Something like a caustics projector But you also need to make sure they don't appear in shadows from the sun... If you put opacity to 0, your area light is invisibile to the other light source (if I understood what you wrote)

Re: ACES tip

I think this is the main issue: from the tutorial page "ACES is not complicated to work with, but you need to keep track of the color spaces of each image source, the working space of the program and the viewing pipeline." If you haven't got the right textures or color inputs , you fall into more wo...

Thanks for the kind words everyone...
Here are some not great not terrible palm tree trunks.
Have you a reference? it seems that the trunk are too "leafy"... but probably they're right...
Probably every piece of the trunk should be bigger and less curved toward outside... but just my memory...

Re: big mirrors and fireflies

I have exposed the setting. https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/BlendLuxCore/commit/7956892337f1a3ff64b690f3e591a81906d8f090 Is it possible to add to the 2.8 addon? I've opened an issue so you have a notice for this. Thank you in advance. (I've tried to do by myself with no luck... I can show the opti...
