Re: Beautiful Glitter Simulation…Faster Than Real Time! ✨

Actually, LuxCore has GGX in Disney material. Right, but since even 1. iteration of Principled isn't fully implemented... :( ... LuxCore future doesn't seem bright Now it depend on how well the paper is wrote and how hard the method is to implement.... With Wenzel Jakob co-authoring paper, I...

Re: Beautiful Glitter Simulation…Faster Than Real Time! ✨

Yup, bye-bye caches & excessive pre-computing.
In come animation w/o glittery flickering.
GGX Integral is provided, but LuxCore is lacking features.
So, it's more of a question when Cycles (and/or others - RPR, redshift, octane...) get this, what's there left for LuXcore?

Re: Crazy Crystal Glass Affect, is it possible?

Here's a video of Jon Kuhn, a glass artist explaining & showing how some pieces are made.
Also, use diffraction to get even more astounding looks (note: takes more computing resources)

Just double checked in BlendLuxCore, glass material does have a thin-film option.
Thanks for heads up.
When I get some time I will do another study to see what can be done.
And in the meantime I'm looking forward to what others come up with 8-)

Is maybe lack of microfacet normal mapping having a diminishing affect on denoiser?

Re: Crazy Crystal Glass Affect, is it possible?

But still, even after you model it in detail, it will be quite a tricky task to mimic material, since there's no simple way of reproducing dichroic glass. First, glass material doesn't have thin film feature and after is getting correct shadow colors which also depend on thin film (complementary to ...

Is the scene using rough or clear glass?
Clear.
And it's just a surface, w/o Volume.
