Re: Luxcore vs rest of the world

Interesting, but...

What about other engines like Cycles, Radeon ProRender, RenderMan, Indigo...?
Plus, it would be good to have full specs of the original scene (lights, colors, rays/bounces, ...) or preferably, attached as a reference. Especially, since Corona's results look quite different.

Re: Skin Shader | Digital Emily

Here is my skin shader in Luxcorerender 2.6 alpha. The 3d model and textures is from the Wikihuman project. https://vgl.ict.usc.edu/Data/DigitalEmily2/ Tell me if you want me to post the blend file, it is around 1 gb in size and it will take forever for me to upload to google drive using my slow in...

Re: two glass issues

But what about the simple plane scene i posted where the same plane suddently renders almost black? Your files render same as you've shown, but differently tonemaped & crash when I want to save outputs. Also go into an endless loop, and when paused it still continues... denoising... luxcoreUI_Pause...

Re: two glass issues

What app do you use?
At what scale, size & units is your object rendered?

Your "bug.obj" geo, though relatively big (~20m high) renders fine with BlenLuxCore... :?

Re: PhotonGI cash problem

Sorry,It was not the aim of my post. I guess just another interesting case I'm not sure to understand the statement but I have the feeling you have to run the rendering without clamping to get a valid suggested value. THIS! Totally slipped my mind, since I first always adapt lighting w/o use of cla...

Re: Crash on Viewport GPU and CPU by Camera change w/ Optix ON

Another "Camera Crasher".
(If inerested)...

Turn Viewport render on, change any Camera parameter & it ends with a crash.
Disable Optix & it's fine...

Can't replicate it on aone means, it's likely just another scene-file Camera corruption :?:

Re: Two well known luxcore problems.

Naive thought here...
:?
Would it be possible to get a trick like "NO Energy loss" (no lightloss, no falloff or best - customizable control for light falloff) or switch to affect specular & glossy materials, so in principal, a user could create rough glass as bright as Env. light?

I don't know if this helps.
