Re: OpenVDB support

Here is what I get with the OpenVDB Node. I had to flip the axis but the file seems to be imported correctly for me.

Wow!!! I hope this will work well with OpenVDB files from Turbulance FD.
It should work. Do you have any sample files? Then I can check if there need to be special handling.

Re: OpenVDB support

You need to update both Linux Bin. Deps and Windows Bin. Deps repositories however you can not push the new binaries on a branch because Azure will still use the master branch to compile even your OpenVB branch. So you have to push them on the master branch but before you should check if the new Bl...

Re: OpenVDB support

Great work. P.S. the Windows build on your branch is currently failing on Azure for missing BLOSC symbols: https://dev.azure.com/LuxCoreRender/LuxCoreRender/_build/results?buildId=969 Yes, I had to do some changes in the cmake configuration. There was a mismatch of cmake variables for blosc, i.e. $...

Re: OpenVDB support

Hi! Here is an update of my work on the openVDB node in Blender. Via this node you currently can use - VDB files created with the internal smoke simulation of Blender - external files and file sequences created with other programs, e.g. Houdini The node still is in very early state and the UI elemen...

Re: OpenVDB support

It is https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/WindowsCompileDeps/blob/master/x64/Release/lib/blosc.lib but, may be, is a OpenVDB/Blosc version problem ? I was using the version used by Blender for compatibility (it is a quite old version). Thank you for the hint. I updated the OpenVDB library in the branc...

Re: OpenVDB support

Thank you. Blender smoke simulator is very slow and often gives strange results... So would be great to render VDB cash from other programms, like Houdini or Cinema 4d with FumeFX or TFD. Strange why blender no read other VDB files... LuxCore has support for VDB files from other programs as Dade sh...

Re: Room

Sobol is ugly and should never be used. UUHHH  What I don't understand that either :o Could you post a side-by-side comparison - or have you just done that? They look totally different? Thanks Nope. I didn't intend to discuss this. Here's comparison: Path 3k samples Sobol: sobol_3k.png~ Metr...

Re: Material Null generates Visible Edges and Intersections

I don't know how Blender works but are you using an array of cubes instead of a single big cube :?: Yeas, there are several cubes. Edges show up although cubes do not overlap. Edges also show up, as kintuX showed, with single cubes. There is also a another issue, first thought to be inner total ref...

Re: BlendLuxCore Development

One question. Do blendluxcore support renderlayer ? Yes it supports render layers. In blender 2.8 there is no differentiation between view layers and render layers. First you have to add a new view layer on the top right menu. Then you can assign collections to that layer and the third step is to d...
