Re: Nvidia Turing

But things are not completly lost as all the graphic and gaming industry are converging to the same ray tracing technology.

Re: Nvidia Turing

If it is exposed trough some usable API
I'm afraid this will be protect inside some closed source technologies like CUDA before.

Nvidia Turing

hey guys seem there is a big moove for GPU rendering as Nvidia unveil Turing graphique card. Turing card seem to have dedicated core to compute ray tracing operation. how this could impact GPU rendering ? https://www.cnet.com/news/nvidia-turing-architecture-arrives-in-high-end-quadro-rtx-gpus/ macgp...

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1/2.2 features poll

This has to be one of the most simple user requests I ever implemented:

Re: sobol and metropolis

Hm, so far I haven't seen any dificulties using metropolis set up as I did. Random and sobol give fireflies until clamping is so strong it affects total contrast and flattens highlights.  It not really about difficulty just a way to better expose difference between rendering mode/strategies/setting...

Re: sobol and metropolis

For my experience for testing purpose including metropolis sampler and extrem setting you need a bit more complexe scene ( at least specular shader some emissive light and some textured surface ) to better highlight each method strenght and weakness. Normally fireflies shouldn't be a problem. When L...
