Re: Japan taste

Yes, the large amount of indirect light is probably responsible for the long render times. I also notice that most materials are very bright. You probably already know it, but make sure that a "white" material is never brighter than about 0.7-0.8, because if it's too bright there will be ...

Re: Golem: P2P Rendering

Extremely good idea and they are serious ! really interesting the fact that they took lux as a test is really promising.

Re: Japan taste

Nice scene, i like the camera perspective, nice stairs also. Thanks you ! 18 hours seems too much. Yes tooooo much  After more analysis of the project i come with theses conclusion and result: 1) 90% of the lighting in this project come throught indirect light. So it is really hard to render ...

Re: Denoiser

What about the denoiser that uses prorender? Don't know a lot about RPR denoiser but what i can say is that darktable denoising feature is far enough for any purpose. just save your file in EXR file format to get the best result it also work with 16 bit png. The luxcore current alpha stage is focus...

Hi ! This is a real production project i am testing to benchmark Luxcore alpha on complexe indoor scene.I keep the resolution at 1k. The project is still unfinished with a lot furniture and asset to model. The render is currently running this is a quick capture. Bidir == 16 + 16 deph Device == i7 67...

Re: first steps on luxcore

I would recommend to only compare final renders, not viewport renders. Both Cycles and LuxCore use rather suboptimal rendering settings/engines when doing viewport renders because they have to be optimized for low latency and fast interactiveness. I Understand but here i want to show the banding pr...

Re: first steps on luxcore

I can change the default and/or the threshold but you can always build a case where they will not work well. The real solution is the additional pre-processing phase I was talking about when discussing HDR visibility map (a light cache-like solution). Top Aaah Ok understood ;) . will try to avoid s...

Re: first steps on luxcore

Are you using a single mesh with more than 24 triangles ? LuxCore switch direct light sampling off for meshes with more 24 triangles. There is an option to re-enable direct light sampling but I assume it is not exposed in BlendLuxCore. To check the difference, render an image with exactly 24 triang...
