Re: PhotonGI cache

Would it be possible to get a preview of the cache while it is building?
To spot stuff like the artifacts on the doorframe quickly.

Re: PhotonGI cache

In Blender I assigned a matte material with sigma=0 and then didn't check the cfg file. Apparently this produces a roughmatte material, so how to make matte from Blender? (Assigning no material does the trick: "matte" in cfg, but is that the only option?) The matte node always exports roughmatte, a...

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.1 released

Another issue, but it is unpredictable. When a render is in progress(just after starting), I can get an error showing(which stops the render) of:- ------------- Report: Error Writing to ID classes in this context is not allowed: Scene, Scene Datablock, error setting LuxcoreConfigPath.suggested_clam...

But a psor-cube file is not included in the build, where do I find it?
It's in the LuxCore sources: https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/LuxCor ... /psor-cube
You will have to clone or download them.

Re: PhotonGI cache

It is in master, so it will be in the daily builds.
But it's not exposed in the Blender addon yet, so you would have to export your scene as .cfg/.scn files and edit them by hand to use the PhotonGI cache, then render with luxcoreui.

No, but you could use an area light with a spread angle of less than 90°.

Re: playing with caustics

Very cool, keep them coming.
I'd really like to make a short LuxCore demo reel at some point, but people don't post videos very often (which I can totally understand).
However, your work gives me hope :)

Re: Dodge Viper

Good start, nice work!
The contrast of the image seems a bit low (probably filmic - try to switch to a higher contrast preset in color management settings).
The roof seems to have a big dent in the middle, is that intended?
