Can you be more precise?
What do you want to achieve?

You can use the DENOISED output like any other color output - view it with a viewer node, save it to disk with a file output node, or mix it through some crazy node setup.

It works with any light, but you need a tight beam of nearly parallel light rays for a result like in the image you linked. If you want to use a sun light, you can do it like Newton and let the sun shine into a room through a tiny hole. (and combine this with the lightshaft setup I posted above, so ...

It is really hard to guess what is going wrong without the .blend or at least a few screenshots of the scene and settings. And obviously a rendered image would be good. Have you raised the "Dispersion" value of the glass node?
You will also have to use "Bidir" as engine and "Metropolis" as sampler to get noise free caustics in a reasonable time.

From what you've shown so far I like this one best: download/file.php?id=1285&mode=view
However it seems like the polygons from sculpting are still visible, you probably have to subdivide further and smooth it a bit (e.g. with dyntopo and smooth brush).

Are the materials listed in the "Orphan Data" view of the outliner?
