Is it correct to totally disregard SHADING NORMAL pass & denoises anyway?
OIDN uses the Avg. Shading Normal pass (Avg. = Average).
In the Blender addon, it is enabled automatically behind the scenes when the denoiser is used.

Simon, one includes the other "Full OoC" = "Film OoC + OtherStuff OoC": it should be probably a combo box, where you select if to have only the Film OoC or everything.
Done.

Re: Film-only out-of-core rendering support (CUDA-only)

In my short tests on Windows it seemed to work correctly.

Maybe i ask. When the user select this new option is going to be regular OOC+Film OOC ?
No, you can enable/disable both individually.

Re: Film-only out-of-core rendering support (CUDA-only)

Added support for it in the Blender addon, it's in the same location as the regular "out of core" setting (render properties, Sampling panel).

Re: Scene texture maps resize policy

Thanks, it works now. What does the scale parameter do when the auto-scaling policies are used? Is it a multiplier applied to the auto-detected optimal size? E.g. auto-detection says a texture should be scaled from 100x100 to 50x50, scale parameter is set to 0.5, end result would be that the texture...

Re: Scene texture maps resize policy

Could it be that I have to apply the policy settings somehow before building the scene, or so? In BlendLuxCore, the luxcore_scene is built first, then the render config is created with renderconfig = pyluxcore.RenderConfig(config_props, luxcore_scene). In the logs it looks like all the image maps a...

Re: Scene texture maps resize policy

I have implemented support for this in the Blender addon, but no matter which policy I choose, the memory usage is the same. The log is also always the same, with messages like this: [SDL][216.750] Reading texture map: D:\Projects\LuxCore\LuxCoreTestScenes\scenes\HallBench\textures\Tiles13_col_2.jpg...
