Re: Strange artifacts when trying to use .exr vector displacement map

When I try to use an .exr vector displacement map in Luxcore with an imported alembic file, I get a semi-transparent mess with lots of strange artifacts, but it works perfectly fine with Cycles. What could the issue be? I've attached links to both the Cycles and Luxcore scenes, I couldn't attach th...

Re: Color spaces support (aka OpenColorIO v2.0)

There is only one type of linear FP32: it is meaning depends how you transform the input colors and output colors (so LuxCore internal color representation can be sRGB or ACEScg). Here's what I'm confused about: When you say 'Linear FP32', you're only talking about the gamma and bit depth of Nop wh...

But what about functions in LuxCore that for example compute the luminosity of a color? Don't they all assume linear sR...

It is (linear) FP32.
Yes but in wich color gamut srgb linear or Acescg linear wich is wider ?

Re: PhotonGI caustic cache re-factoring

Could someone re-upload the pool tester blend file? It would be really useful in trying to recreate the wall caustics I'm looking for, but the original attachment seems to have been deleted. Thanks! This scene should be about the same: https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/LuxCoreTestScenes/tree/master/...

The new "Render Workbench" should support LuxCoreRender: https://wiki.freecadweb.org/LuxCoreRend ... _Workbench

Re: How to use Light group in Luxcore Standalone?

Thanks for responding. well. the DCC app is for interior design, still in development, sorry i cannot tell too much about it, for the light group, is there any doc on how to use it, i did not find any info using it, which is really confuse though. Do you work in Python or C++ ? LuxCoreUI (C++) code...

What is the primary color space internally use by the linear fp32
It is (linear) FP32.

Or now we support : ACEScg (ACES AP1 primaries) ?
Yes, anything supported by OpenColorIO v2.0 can be used as input and output.

Re: Volumetrics issues

Hi Dade, in this scene we followed your advice however the problem persists... The light beam of the spot should start only wen the light intersects with the fog box. Instead it starts at the origin of the spot where there is not fog at all. You are still declaring the wrong volume for sun and sky:...

Hi, dade, thanks, in fact this is what we did on the last picture of Bartek's post. The problem is that the volumetric should not start at the light source but at the beginning of the fog cloud. Is there a way to obtain this?
Have you not assigned volumes to sun and sky ?
