Re: Mac OS

I did notice just notice "-mno-ssse3" in Linux compile which I have turned on for MacOS (Was with old lux as well) but I don't think that's related to the INF problem. The "-mno-ssse3" is only required to have the binaries compatible with some quite old AMD CPU lacking the support for SSSE3 (we are...

Re: denoiser on gpu

I want to test out BCD more. But even after recent updates I cannot denoise renders above 4K with opencl. However running cpu only I can denoise render whatever resolution I want. So my question is, if we can have an option to run denoiser on cpu only so that I can use opencl and denoise High res i...

Re: video card not recognized

Try also to run LuxMark, it is the most simple and stand alone OpenCL test you can run.

With GCC? no
Does MacOS uses Clang and not GCC ?

It may be issue like GCC "-mfast-math" option, it allows to ignore some corner case of floating point (IEEE-754 specs) in order to improve performance but ends to produce incorrect code with Lux.

I can reproduce the problem.
I have investigated the problem and the LuxCore behavior is correct, the file includes numbers like "137756." and they are not valid floating point numbers. However the problem is easy to fix by editing the file and adding a 0 at the end of the malformed number.

Re: Mac OS

I was hoping to get Xcode debugger attached to the python tests but haven't had success with that yet. I can run the debugger with luxcoreui now, which I need to make a PR for some cmake additions to add macOS Debug symbols. Anyway I've attached the crash log from the OS which has the stack trace. ...

Now https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/LuxCor ... tag/latest includes both the Linux OpenCL-less and OpenCL version of the daily build.

Re: DLSC test

It looks like BlendLuxCore is not exposing the warmup property I was talking about. You need that one.

Re: DLSC test

Struggle to render this with DLSC but metropolis + power give good result. Saddly DLCS with cache entry higher than 1cm ( at 5cm DLSC computing start to e to long so imagine 1cm ) lead to black artifact on the chair. As I wrote in another thread, the problem is likely to be the warm up samples coun...
