Re: Camera projection

That's no longer a camera projection though. It's more a rotated planar projection (if we assume Cam1 is an orthographic camera). By the way it's not clear to me why this needs to be implemented as a shape. Cycles does this stuff without baking it into the mesh vertices. Bake has no rendering cost:...

Let say we have two cameras, Cam1 that should be used as a camera projection map as the first camera and Cam2 that I want to use as actual render view.
There is only one single camera currently in LuxCore. The need of multiple camera definitions has never come up until now.

Re: Loading kernels tooo slow

Ran it & does Path OCL, so when I start with Blender it does it all over again for CUDA :? Uh ? No, it uses the default devices: if you have CUDA, they are all CUDA devices (otherwise all OpenCL devices) :?: It runs PathOCL anyways. PATHOCL works with OpenCL and CUDA devices. Just check the log you...

Hi, could somebody take a look at this problem?

The DEPTH.exr file shows INF values as expected :?:

It might be the default epsilon settings that are different between luxcoreui and BlendLuxCore.
luxcoreui uses the default LuxCore values, does BlendLuxCore too ?

Re: Camera projection

I added the support for camera projection UV shape. The UV of a mesh can be computed with the following syntax: scene.shapes.obj_shell_src.type = mesh scene.shapes.obj_shell_src.ply = scenes/luxball/luxball-shell.ply ## scene.shapes.obj_shell.type = cameraprojuv scene.shapes.obj_shell.source = obj_s...

Re: Problem with caustics on glossy surface

The threshold only distinguish the method to render something, nothing else. It only affect what it is rendered because a method may not able to render some case (i.e. path tracing and the caustic of a point light source, for instance).

Re: Problem with caustics on glossy surface

By changing the glossiness thresholds you can decide what is handled by light tracing and cache: have you tried to move the threshold over/under the ground roughness ?

Re: Camera projection

It looks to me more as a modeller tool than a renderer one but it should easy to add anyway.
