Irradiance Contour Not Showing on Irradiance, Albedo Layers etc. Not working Properly in Indirect Diffuse Layer etc.
Hi, Is there a way to make Irradiance Contour Lines showing properly on layers other than the Direct Diffuse Layer and according to the brightness values of that layer? diff dir.png Works properly but those were only Reflected Radiance (light power/area solid angle) values of Direct Diffuse Layer. d...

Re: Light Rays Altered After Creating Copy of the Glass Material (BUGS REPORT?)
Hi lighting_freak, Shall I open an issue on github? Yes you may try. The Materials are: Working and Working001. Working001 is just a Copy of Working but they seem to behave differently to light. However I'm not sure if it will be accepted as a bug. After some further thinking I think maybe LuxCore r...

Re: Two clear volumes in face contact
Hi, Thanks for the illustration. Now I think the issue is no longer cause by overlapping faces. It's very similar to my issue that I have posted with inverted faces. Please check the comparisons below. Reference Single Object - - Ray Tracing single object.jpg Your Original Test Scene Setup with Face...

Re: Two clear volumes in face contact
Hello, There are no overlapping surfaces in that model. One of the two faces that are shared by both volumes is deleted (or better said: has never been imported). The remaining surface (marked in red) carries an interior and exterior volume as mentioned in this image: VOLUME_Setup.jpg Well now we k...

Re: Two clear volumes in face contact
Maybe for the sake of performance and also Dade has said floating point numbers are like lego so IMO that means if you set distances to zero overlapping surfaces will have both negative and positive distances and also light rays from a surface do not travel backward and therefore the strange artifac...

Re: Two clear volumes in face contact
Thanks Dade. That's very enlightening :!: lighting_freak got very keen eyes  Can this be improved by enabling cache or maybe issue with Space Partitioning to be more particular? Or maybe if we assign floating point decimal places base on distances from origin maybe it will smooth out the blocks...

Re: Two clear volumes in face contact
Hi, the appearance looks better, but still not right. The material edges look strange to me. Also strange is that that the exterior needs to be defined even if it's idential with world volume (that should be air by default with IOR 1). I'm not sure how to explain them but there are two things that n...

Re: Two clear volumes in face contact
Hi, Is this better now? test_scene corrected.jpg I just followed Dade advice and appropriated all the interior/exterior volumes Snap29.jpg I guess you are right however that refraction and reflection were computed according to the ratio of the IORs of internal and external volume of the Object and i...

Re: Two clear volumes in face contact
As I said in my previous post strange artifacts happens if two surfaces overlap. A tiny gap of 0.1mm resolve the issue.
There are internal reflections at the interface. Best Regards
