Re: Symbiosis: A Bumblebee and its Caustics

It looks really dreamy and atmospheric. Can I put it in our gallery? If yes, please tell me which name I should use to credit you (your nickname or your real name) and if I should link to a website/portfolio. By the way, you can call it only "Symbiosis" in the gallery; the rest of the tit...

Cinematic, fantastic picture! All this details and the unbelievable lighting. What an amazing, wonderful final work! Great job! What’s next? Could you share some details like number of samples and rendering time, please? Thanks :) About 12K samples but you don't want to know the render time ;) Okay...

Symbiosis: A Bumblebee and its Caustics

I've been working on this guy to and fro since 2016, mostly trying to figure out the lighting, and I daresay it would not have been possible without Lux or even without Luxcore 2.
Special thanks to the guys who tried to help me in this topic.

Re: Different exposure when rendering different parts of the image

Does exr format support a kind of reset? I mean gamma, exposure and color space are rather a look up table for how the file has to be displayed and raw information is not touched. Now that sounds rather exciting :) I just looked around a bit to see if I could figure out how to read the gamma of an ...

Re: Different exposure when rendering different parts of the image

Did you render this in Blender or outside (using luxcoreconsole or luxcoreui)? Because we don't use the gamma correction plugin in Blender, Blender does the gamma correction for us. I did it in Blender. Thanks for the info :) Should just be v^gamma or v^(1/gamma) where v is the value of the pixel, ...

Re: Different exposure when rendering different parts of the image

Does anyone know how Lux does gamma? I mean, what's the maths? If it's just an exponent I must have done something wrong :?
