I open the debate, for a render, a CPU with 12 cores at 2.5 ghz or a CPU with 2 AMD RX550 4GB is better ?

Open cl processor

Hi im searching some "new" processor. But i dont understand something. The cpu need to have open cl 2.0 capability to speed up renders ? Look the image, i7 and fx 6300 doesnt have it ? I should buy a brand new processor ? Thanks

In this case something better to test, i got a phenom 810 quadcore 2.6 and a gtx 750 ti , its a very old processor ,i know, so i think the nvidia core its alone with all the job. Hi Dade, there are 4 steps :shock: 1.install the addon. Using command line (i think i achieved) 2. Activate te addon . You have to copy the user preferences .py from a activated blender installed in your pc and replace the one of the server. ( i don t know if i do it correctly) 3 Execute the render,...

:D :D Let me tell you that install the addon and set up a render via console or command line without a graphic interface it s hard work. Im fighting with the system jejejeje. Someone could do it , i m stuck :roll: :?
