I would like to mix cycles render and lux caustics, what is the right way to get caustics from Lux? Here is the (yafaray) version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZ7EtyhGeWo
Well, everything is possible but LuxRender/LuxCoreRender is one of the oldest render engine project, it is probably second only to POV-Ray. Blender is older but Blender internal is dead and Cycles is a kid compared LuxRender age. Have Lux developers tried to collaborate with other renderengine code...
Maybe stupid question but, how can we make LuxCoreRender more popular with cycles users? It is an uphill battle: Cycles is included in Blender, LuxCore is not. Every single Blender user will first learn Cycles than, if he/she is unhappy will start to look around and, may be, decide to put the effor...
Is there any information how many active LuxCore users there is, or how many times LuxCore gets downloaded monthly? You can check the GitHub download statistics here: - BlendLuxCore => https://www.somsubhra.com/github-release-stats/?username=LuxCoreRender&repository=BlendLuxCore - LuxCoreRender...
Hi, i would like to switch from cycles to LuxCore and have a few question
Is there any information how many active LuxCore users there is, or how many times LuxCore gets downloaded monthly? I also would like to know how big is the development team at the moment behind this amazing engine.
I really do prefer this approach ( being the most accurate possible / and as fast as possible by using caching tech or other stuff to accelerate processing). I'm not a great fan of hyper cheating and heavy post-prod / compositing. But that is it everyone have different mean and needs. interresting ...
2) Why Bidir engine only supports a few AOVs and will it support in the future all render passes? BiDir uses both eye paths and light paths at the same time. So, while Path uses a single image buffer, BiDir uses 2 with different buffers and normalization strategies (one for eye path samples and one...

Here's an example:
Why when you disable Interior Volume from glass the IOR stays the same as in the (Luxcore volume nodes) but refractions are different? Do you have to use Interior Volume with clear glass?
