Why would be better?

How would I create something that looks like this:

How do I also get rid of the black parts of the glass?

It is a Cup with Water in it. I'm planning to add ice cubes, water bubbles and water vapour to it. I am also using Caustics.

My scene isn't that complex it's just a cup with water in it. I think my pc is just trash (No Gpu and a somewhat slow and outdated Cpu)

Is there a fixed speed for rendering, because my samples only go up by 1 every time the film refreshes.
