You already have a subdivision plus displace modifier that give you the shape of mountains. I don't understand the point of the shader base displacement now. Or wait it is for the straight wrinkle ok. Yes, it's for the wrinkles. Normally all that can be done in shader base displace and simplified. ...

Yes auto smooth is on and the angle set to 30. But changing the angle doesn't change the issue. No, I didn't try Eevee, can't render in it (don't have a graphics card). Yeah, it's probably normal issues because these artefacts only appear when smooth shading it pressed. With flat shading, everything...

Thks. "Luckily", my computer runs on Ubuntu Studio with a low latency kernel and a lightweight Desktop Environment (Xcfe). Otherwise, I don't think it will be able to run any 3D software.

Render on a CPU Intel i3 2.53 GHz with 2GB of RAM.
Engine: Bidir with Eye Depth of 4 and Light Depth of 4.
Halt Conditions: Use Time 3h 00 00.
Used Render Layers for different parts of the scene and then compose them back.
Light Setup: Just Mesh (Circle) Lights with IES profiles.
