Re: Blender 2.8 objectid color

I assume you mean a random color but constant across some time of domain ... but what domain ? In your case a "Material ID" texture would not work because you are using the same volume across all objects. For entire object. But it would be possible to scale this value with procedural texture. When ...

Re: Blender 2.8 objectid color

When i use UV image texture in volume node, it writes error message "2d texture not supported"
UV map is scaled to 0, so it can only have 1 constant color value from single coordinate on image texture for entire object. In object node it works, but not in volume.

Re: Blender 2.8 objectid color

I have the object id color as a scale for textures. Color iD Sample.jpg Here is the sample file where 2 objects should have 2 different colors by random object id. When you in material panel connect texture to transmission slot, it works like in below: material panel object id.jpg Blend file id colo...

Re: Blender 2.8 objectid color

I just copy pasted it from material node, it wasn't exposed. Would it be possible to add this feature?

Blender 2.8 objectid color

The objectid is broken in volume node, in material node it works, but random color generation by objectid does not work for volume absorption.
Both Blender ui and LuxCore ui. All objects render with same random color that is always red on all Blender material preview models too.

Re: how to: luxcore UI resumable rendering

It works :D

Code: Select all

Render custom resolution
cd C:\luxcorerender-v2.2-win64-opencl
luxcoreui.exe -o C:\render.cfg -f scene.scn -w 4000 -e 2666

Resume render from rsm file
cd C:\luxcorerender-v2.2-win64-opencl
luxcoreui.exe -o C:\resume.rsm -f scene.scn -w 4000 -e 2666

Re: how to: luxcore UI resumable rendering

Thx B.Y.O.B

Custom resolution works for me like that:

Code: Select all

luxcoreui.exe -o C:\Users\Human\Documents\swimming_pool_benchmark\swimming_pool_benchmark_LuxCore\00001\render.cfg -f scene.scn -w 4000 -e 2666
But how can i resume RSM file?

You can pass the resolution as a command line argument.
Note that luxcoreui is a developer tool, not aimed at end users.
Is there guide in wikipedia somewhere?

Re: how to: luxcore UI resumable rendering

I believe the render resuming does not work, unless you compile custom version of luxcore ui with default resolution = the resolution you render in. Same with film merging. Not sure about border render film merging, maybe border render is also locked at default resolution
