Re: Dispersion of Laser looks odd

Have you tried rendering it with LuxCore's BidirVM integrator and Metropolis sampling? Vertex merging would be a good fit for this scene. How do I export a Blender Scene for LuxCore? EDIT: Render Properties>LuxCore Tools>check LuxCore Filesaver, Text plus Path of Directory Load .cfg file in With En...

Simple Still Life with BidirVM

Hey all, I noticed some forum threads mentioning that LuxCore is no longer under active development, so I decided to put together a scene using LuxCore's bidirectional path tracing with vertex merging (BidirVM) for old times' sake  simple2-monochrome-small.jpg simple2-color-small.jpg BidirVM is...

I tried the major profiles, however I am mostly interested in EXR color as I do my color grading externally (that is to say, not in Blender).

BlendLuxCore Studio Scene

This is a studio test scene which I have been using to test render engines, pixel filters, and materials (think like https://www.dpreview.com/articles/4109350402/welcome-to-our-studio-test-scene ). Recently I converted the scene from LuxRender to LuxCoreRender with mixed results. Blender 2.8's viewp...

Re: CUDA_ERROR_INVALID_PTX

Yes, v2.4 was developed with CUDA 10 and v2.5 is developed with CUDA 11 (required by Optix v7.1). This makes sense, however, at the time of writing this, the latest Quadro drivers for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 (including server versions) is version 440, which supports only CUDA 10.2 :!: Will the sa...

CUDA_ERROR_INVALID_PTX

When attempting to use LuxCore 2.4 CUDA rendering, it produced the error "CUDA_ERROR_INVALID_PTX: a PTX JIT compilation failed" :? I received this error while using NVIDIA Quadro driver version 392.58, which although not the "biggest number" driver, it is worth noting that this i...

Certainly a lot of memory, however altogether, the parts were bought used for around $1100 USD.

Re: Residential Hallway (Blender 2.64, 2.82, Luxcore 2.4)

Here is a version created with Luxrender 1.2.1 finally, this image rendered for 12 hours at a much lower resolution than the Luxcore scene did with Bidir + MLT. I could render a version with ExPhotonMap, however this scene was finished long ago. FinalTF_Camera1_FLOG_pregamma_1_mai__postsaturation_1_...

Residential Hallway (Blender 2.64, 2.82, Luxcore 2.4)

Although this scene was originally modeled in Blender 2.64 with the intention of rendering with Luxrender 1.1, I decided to move the project to Luxcorerender, because of OIDN's ability to reduce render times. The scene is approximately 10 million polygons. Images were rendered at 6272x9408 for the p...
