standalone version

Hi guys
I don't have any clue about using the standalone version. also couldn't find any video/text about it.
after opening the "luxcoreui", it looks to me as it's from another civilization.
I'm using rhinoceros/gemvision matrix and was wondering if i can use this engine as a standalone renderer for my 3d files.
can i use it?
if so, how/where can i find in-depth documentation/tutorial about using the standalone version?
