Flashlight with TIR lens

I modelled the optics to be physically correct. It has a small LED and a TIR (Total Internal Reflection) lens.
BiDir Metropolis (2850 samples):
Hybrid (also on CPU, 4470 samples):
Both were denoised with OIDN.
Hybrid seems to be faster (in convergence), but unfortunately, there are significant differences between the result images.

Good modelling and nice setting but the inhomogeneous light cone looks weird (in both versions).
Sorry to be of no help but I never attempted precise and correct settings like this.
I'd try to get away with an IES file ...

Thanks, and you're right... I wanted some variance in the lightbeam, so I used heterogeneous volume with a noise pattern, but It didn't become the best.

Actually this flashlight is smaller than a lightsaber.
Looks like the scene is missing some reference object for size comparison.

What texture did you use?
I would try a larger scale clouds texture, or maybe even a smoke simulation.

If I remember correctly it was Improved Perlin.
I'll get back to it after I buy a faster PC. On my current old Core i5 it was painfully slow to test the settings.
