Merge frankenstein part

Post by Sharlybg »

Yes i know they are not intended to be like a single project. but who care. just for fun i manage to make look like they are part of same body the resulting house floor plan isn't glammour and idealistic but really like to let both R9 390 + Titan Black + i7 8700 k ( AMD + nvidia +Intel ) work together in my tiny Rig for the same target :D .

After some append link and little modification like switching off hair on carpet i got it to converge really faster. hair is a real performance killer. Dof require almost 2X time to be nice but the mood is worth it.

Render time for the first is 2h the second is 7h.

I like these :)
I'm quite surprised to hear about dof slowdown. I've never noticed any slowdown using dof lately.

thanks !
Not that things become slow but because of Dof blur you will need more samples to get acceptable result in most blurred area. It is just a side effect of bluring things.

The second one I like especially. I wonder how much time you spent over time to model all these objects for all your scenes with their finesse.

After almost 10 years of 3D practice and 5 years at professional level i've pretty big and well organized 3d objects archives. Also if don't have time to model thing i'am ready to spend few dollars to get them. When i create a new project i've the habit to model 3 to five new object i want to add to my archive. when i've free time also i start modelling new object i like and want it to be as precise as possible.

For reference i like website like this one : https://www.roche-bobois.com/fr-CI

But if you want to start with high quality output i suggest you to practice on small interior kitchen or bathroom (this is how i teach 3D to my wife and she was ready in only one month for such kind of high detailed small interior 3D project).

For speed you have to practice a lot (not like a painfull job but as something you like to do all the time )

Also try freebies on website like vizpeople if really don't have time : https://www.viz-people.com/free-stuff/

Don't like to use to much of object like evermotion package in my project because at some point as an artist you start to loose a certain identity the reason why i like bertrand benoit Job :

I'm currently coocking another project i hope it will catch more eyes on DADE and BYOB amazing job ( the more i use this engine the more i feel it have all to be a reference. who know how this luxcore project will turn :D )

Thank you much for your detailed answers, Sharlybg.

After watching a few tutorials I started with small projects like the Newton Pendulum, about 5 years ago and set up LED lights model with the old addon because I liked its capabilities for photorealistic pictures. This was also the time I spent hours coding in Lua and ObjectiveC for a private LED driver project based on electronics, engineered by a good friend, with Arm, RTOS and XBee.
We had been quite far vefore a big electronic company placed a similar product on the market and the three of us switched to fun projects with arduino c++ compiler and teensy hardware to control neopixels.

This year I‘ve started modelling my rented appartment in summer without running around metering, so just out of my head but with reasonable sizes. I agree with you bathrooms and kitchens are good starting points and they can look great with few invested time.

Recently, I started modelling an eight room double floor house, somewhere else, in the middle of nowhere. The links you posted here are therefore very welcome for me. I don’t mind to spend some money for models. But I have this strong ambition to create objects myself. I think you know what I mean. (The more I know how to model the less I have to do and the faster I get.)
