Hi. I downloaded the 2.5 version of luxcore. I am not sure why but it goes a bit slow when I try to expand viewports or move the division between them.
I did change the engine to GPU and choose Open CL instead of CUDa. I am running a laptop with an RTX 2080 Q max .
Should I run the engine in CPU (like the tutorials I found in internet) or GPU ?
Thank you

Re: Luxcore 2.5 (settings for my laptop)
As it is discussed here viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2546 GPu viewport performance can be improved. there some workarround like switch to CPU instead or use half resolution on viewport currently befre a more bullet proof solution is found.
Re: Luxcore 2.5 (settings for my laptop)
BTW you should stay on 2.4 for production and deadline project.zooropa wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 11:43 am Hi. I downloaded the 2.5 version of luxcore. I am not sure why but it goes a bit slow when I try to expand viewports or move the division between them.

Re: Luxcore 2.5 (settings for my laptop)
Thank you, I am using 2.5 cause I thought I could make better use of my RTX card. I also noticed the denoiser works similar to cycles, something I am looking for. I am not getting used to to the denoise in 2.4 that blures everything after 10 seconds. I like the progressive method of the optix someone showed in the luxcore 2.5 demo. I do not know why, but I can not make the option active...
