A twos minute short animation done in Blender 2.8 and Luxcore 2.4
showcasing a Mercedes AMG GTR spy inside a Porsche GT3 garage.
The project was done to evaluate both Luxcore and blender in animation
and also improve my skills in those Area.
From the Logo intro to the end all was done in Blender and render in Luxcore.
Sure it is not perfect but i learn a lot from this one.

Blender short film Rivals
Re: Blender short film Rivals
Very nice work
Re: Blender short film Rivals
It is very good to have such projects.
I wonder if the flickering around https://youtu.be/CdrzZziqWMA?t=74 could be avoided, maybe by creating a persistent cache of everything without the car?
Indeed, and the next one will be better

Re: Blender short film Rivals
Yes this one. i had two solution render without cache so i loose speed. or render with cache plus persistent but i had animated car light and really don't know how it will behave.I wonder if the flickering around https://youtu.be/CdrzZziqWMA?t=74 could be avoided, maybe by creating a persistent cache of everything without the car?
Re: Blender short film Rivals
It's good. Caches are the enemy of animations sadly. Maybe some incremental building, or some error correction for high variance in cache entry...

Great stuff!
But this shows clearly the difference between Cycles and LuxCore:
While Cycles is optimized for animations and all accelerators like denoiser, adaptive sampling or RTX support are developed and tested to work without flickering, LuxCore is the superior solution for stills with all the caches or light tracing optimized for it but failing in animation.

I just want to note I am pretty sure most flicker could be accounted for with the temporal denoising in Davinci Resolve. So it may be a non issue functionally with the right post pipeline!
